We provide a variety of services in support of Property Loss and Claims Preparation.  Several key benefits include:

Damage Assessments

  • Property damage is investigated using the most appropriate methods as determined by the event type and local circumstances.  Often a simple visual inspection can identify damage to property however, when damage is ambiguous or not evident we may use other techniques, eg, laboratory analysis of samples, to determine the short and long-term disposition of property.   The results of analytical investigations help to identify the viability and extent of cleaning required to restore property to its original serviceability.  There are compelling reasons to restore equipment however, choosing a bad candidate for restoration can increase cost and result in a protracted claims process.

RCV/ACV

  •  We can help in determining valuations based on Actual Cash Value or Replacement Cash Value policy requirements.

Repair/Replace

  • In some circumstances, the most prudent option is to replace damaged property when factors involved with repair prove impractical or excessive.   We look into the variables involved with choosing the best solution balanced with policy requirements.

Documentation

  • Document is an important part of mitigating property loss.  We generate documentation related to our contributions to closing a claim, including photo-documentation.

Inventory

  • We recognize inventory as a key element in property loss claims.  We work with the insured to assess the status of their existing documented inventory and determine its completeness and accuracy versus physical contents.  All pertinent and available data is used to augment the inventory to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Like Kind & Quality

  • Detailed property data is used to determine the most suitable replacement for property with no direct replacement option.  In concert with the insured and appropriate vendors, LKQ replacements are identified to provide a smooth transition with minimal impact on associated property.

Scope of Damages

  • Often a critical question is, "Where does the loss begin and end".  In a large facility subjected to a pervasive contaminant, the answer may be challenging with many grey lines defining the loss.  We approach this question by understanding the characteristics of the facility and contaminants along with other germane variables then choose an acceptable metric for identifying "boundaries".  Every loss is different and the solution often unique.

Litigation Support

  •  We provide support ranging from expert opinion to expert witness testimony.
