BACKGROUND John Johnson is the President of Johnson Integrated Technologies, LLC, a design, forensic engineering, and property claims support company. Mr. Johnson started his career at Bell Communications Research (Bellcore), the research and engineering company funded by the seven Regional Bell Telephone companies and a spin-off of Bell Telephone and Bell Laboratories. During and subsequent to these years, Mr. Johnson’s projects have included research, development, and manufacturing in various fields including integrated photonics, semiconductor devices, telecommunication, electronic data processing, electronic equipment, medical devices, optical & lightwave devices, materials analysis, and determination of failure modes. As a member of Bellcore’s Hardware Integrity Group, Mr. Johnson leveraged his strengths in technology by applying them to disaster prevention and recovery as it relates to hi-tech telecommunication and data center disaster events requiring rapid response, assessment, and recovery; essential in all types of business interruption. Later, as the Senior Mechanical Engineer for General Electric Healthcare, Mr. Johnson designed medical device instruments utilized by pathologists for the diagnosis of cancer and other cell anomalies. Mr. Johnson is a patent recipient, the coauthor on numerous published articles, and has received the R&D 100 Award presented by R&D Magazine for notable achievements in Research and Development. SERVICES In property loss claims, Mr. Johnson often utilizes physical and analytical data to successfully determine the disposition of property when otherwise the failure mode and integrity of the property would appear ambiguous or indeterminable. This approach to property assessment is particularly effective when the detrimental effects of an event have not yet manifested, ie, when the damage may not be realized until well after the initial loss event. The assessment techniques utilized have enabled property disposition and recommendations to be supported and quantified by data; often significantly impacting the property claim. Mr. Johnson has provided claims support for many industries including, electronic gaming/gambling, textiles, financial services, automotive, state services, condominium, medical device, semiconductor manufacture, and packaging. Property loss events include fire, wind, water intrusion, contamination, environmental, and other natural and man-made disasters. With strengths in disaster prevention and recovery, forensic investigation, and mechanical and electronic systems, clients have realized confidence in attaining fair property loss claims. While Johnson Integrated Technologies LLC continues to provide engineering design services, Mr. Johnson enjoys the challenge in providing property claims support, eg, providing short and long-term property disposition, valuation, document preparation, forensic investigation, expert witness testimony, and recommendations to the property insurance and claim preparation industries.
